Original headliner Ozzy Osbourne was forced to cancel after a fall at home. One of the dates that Megadeth have been forced to cancel is their appearance at Milwaukee’s Summerfest on July 4th. Megadeth were set to release a new album this year though that is likely to be delayed now following this diagnosis. It took him 18 months of intensive rehabilitation, weight training and guitar lessons to be able to return to playing. This isn’t the first serious health issue that Mustaine has suffered as he lost the use of his left arm in 2002 after a radial nerve compression. I’m so thankful for my whole team – family, doctors, band members, trainers, and more. Dave Mustaine has put his signature on a pair of humbuckers that gives you all the gain most of us would ever need and yet retained are the tone characteristics which make passives so desirable. Meanwhile, Kiko, David, Dirk and I are in the studio, working on the follow up to Dystopia – which I can’t wait for everyone to hear.

Here is a quick description and cover image of book Heartless (Tales of Goldstone Wood, #1) written by Anne Elisabeth Stengl which was published in July 1st 2010. Brief Summary of Book: Heartless (Tales of Goldstone Wood, #1) by Anne Elisabeth Stengl It's one of a number of her boarding school novels, and as negative on the experience as the others I've seen. "Witch Week" is the fourth Chestomanci novel, though the connection is delayed for the bulk of the book. Recommended as an entertaining colorful story. Fortunately other threads in the story line keep things moving in enough of an unpredictable way to make for a fun story. The warring families aspect of the story is annoying because it's so obvious where things will go. The primary protagonists are several young members of the Montana family, forced by circumstance to work with members of the hated Petrocchi family. The context is a Romeo and Juliet families at war situation, but the driving plot is the gradual loss of magic, due to an unknown magician working in league with the enemy city states. The multi-universe aspect of the series is used just to set up an alternate Italy where city states continue to war with each other, in this case, the underdog is the small city state of Caprona. "The Magicians of Caprona": third in the Chestomanci series, like the first, focuses on other main characters, with Chrestomanci mostly a walk-on deus ex machina. Move pieces into place and set the stage for the war he’s been planning for over 500 years. It was supposed to be easy get in and get out. Her cruel father believes she is a malfetto, an abomination, ruining their family’s good name and standing in the way of their fortune. Most of the infected perished, while many of the children who survived were left with strange markings. A decade ago, the deadly illness swept through her nation. A glossary encourages readers to find each named species in the illustrations throughout the book––and to go one step further and bring the book outside, to find the actual subjects in nature. This intense interweaving of words and pictures creates a sense of immersion and interaction-and a sense that the natural world is part of us. Each remarkable image exhibits a perfect mastery of design, lively line, and watercolor technique while the sophisticated palette of warms and cools both soothes and surprises. Gorgeous illustrations accompany the words, both as stand-alone double-page spreads and as spot and full-page illustrations. They are most effective when read aloud (as readers are encouraged to do in the introduction). Focusing on a particular subject, whether it be animal, insect, or plant, each poem (rendered in a variety of forms) delivers a “spell” that can be playful, poignant, or entreating. This is not a book about ecology or habitat this is a book that encourages readers to revel in, and connect with, the natural world. A powerful homage to the natural world, from England by way of Canada.Ĭombining poetic words (somewhat reminiscent of Mary Oliver’s poetry in their passion for the natural world) with truly stunning illustrations, this unusually beautiful book brings to readers the magic and wonder of nature. Elspeth once said “they’re all the same white woman five times” and I have never heard a more accurate description. And yet most of them have one thing in common: they’re white. There are so many characters in this series, I had to resort to using Fandom Wikia while reading Kingdom of Ash because I didn’t even remember 30% of them. As mentioned above, lots of spoilers below! The Issues with Racial Representation Kingdom of Ash is the perfect example of why I can’t enjoy SJM’s writing as I once did, so I’m going to do a book rant and get it all out of my system once and for all. However, I started becoming disillusioned with SJM’s writing with A Court of Wings and Ruin (yes, it took me that long), and haven’t bothered reviewing any of her books since. I enjoyed Crown of Midnight, Heir of Fire, and Queen of Shadows, and have made countless blogging friends through this series, and because of that, reading these books will never seem a waste. Throne of Glass itself didn’t impress me, but I followed on because if there’s one thing I can be trusted to do, it’s to follow the hype train. I read the prequel novellas before the first book was released, and was intrigued by the world and its characters. If you’ve been following this blog for some time, you would know that I’ve had my ups and downs with the Throne of Glass series. Note: This post will contain spoilers for the entire series, including the ending of Kingdom of Ash! Turn back if you don’t want to be spoiled.
